My workshops and sessions are open to persons over the age of sixteen
(16) who are able to understand and develop knowledge, skills, and
abilities necessary to communicate and safely perform tasks for
operating a wide variety of hand tools and power machinery.
Individuals or groups are welcome to participate. For more information, read about choosing us.
Session Registration
Participants will be registered on a first-come-first-serve
basis. To register, call or e-mail
me and I’ll mail you the
Registration Packet which includes forms, directions to the school, and
contacts for local lodging and accommodations. To become officially
registered, I must have received your completed Registration Form, a
signed Liability Waiver form, and your Session Deposit Fee (see session
fees below). Payments are acceptable with a personal check …
no credit, credit/debit cards, or PayPal are accepted.
Session
Enrollment Levels
The minimum enrollment for any session is 3 participants.
Project-build
(P-B) sessions are limited to a maximum of 5
participants, thus allowing each participant plenty of one-on-one
coaching and learning experiences. How-To (H-T) sessions have
a maximum of 10 participants.
Session
Fees
The session fee for a 5-Day Project-Build (PB) class is $795.
This includes instruction, studio access, lumber, supplies, and
consumables, as necessary for that particular class. The fee
also includes snacks, drinks, and fix-your own sandwich
lunches. The session fee for a 2-Day How-To (HT) class is
$230 and includes instruction, studio access, and consumables as
necessary for that class, snacks, drinks, and fix-your own sandwich
lunches. 1-Day sessions are $115. Private
instruction sessions can be customized for individuals or groups with
pricing available upon request.
Session Deposit Fee
The
deposit amount is 50% of the Session Fee and assures the
participant a seat in the session, if available, on a first-come, first
serve basis. The remaining balance of the Session Fee is due
ten (10) business days in advance of the session start date.
A written reminder will be sent to you. No participant will
be allowed in the session without final payment prior to the start of
session.
Participant
Cancellation Fee
In the event a participant must cancel after sending a Session Deposit
Fee, a one-hundred percent (100%) refund will be made IF the
cancellation is made in writing more than sixty (60) business days from
the session start date. Fifty percent (50%) of the Session
Deposit Fee will be made IF the cancellation is made in writing between
thirty (30) and fifty-nine (59) business days from the session start
date. No Session Deposit Fee refund will be made IF the
cancellation is made in writing less than thirty (30) business days
from the session start date.
Workshop/Session
Cancellation
In the event a session must be cancelled for any reason by the school,
a full refund of the Session Deposit Fee and any other fees paid will
be mailed within ten (10) business days of the cancellation
date.
Participant
Supplied Items
Participants are expected to provide your own choice of eye protection,
hearing protection (muffs, plugs), and a tape measure (6’ to
10’). You are welcome to bring any other favorite measuring,
hand, or layout instrument you wish, although be sure you have them
marked clearly with your name or initials. They are your
responsibility. It may be possible to bring in your own
project lumber but only after we have discussed issues of
specie type, condition, potential embedded objects (metal, nails), and
potential dangerous wood dusts. The use of softwoods is
prohibited. No session fee discounts or credits will be
honored if you choose to provide your own lumber.
